What is Hooping?

Hula hooping is a holistic activity that can benefit your BODY, MIND & SOUL. It’s a complete workout. Hooping requires you to be mindful, having full focus on the activity. Hooping is great for increasing hand/eye coordination. Hooping builds positive experiences which help to gain a more positive outlook on life! As you practice, you build mastery, which in turn increases self-esteem. Hooping can be done alone or in a group where you can make new friends. And, we ALL connect with music. Music in hooping increases the energy, motivation, mood, and connection to the hoop. Be willing to give it a try!

Meet Jody

HI! I am a Music Therapist. I own Access Music Therapy in Duluth, MN providing services to children and adults with special needs as well as individuals in mental health and seniors. Last year, I was in the middle of creating a curriculum for a children’s early music education class, and began incorporating hula hoop activities. In researching hoop activities, I came across the best websites and videos on hooping for adults. It’s not just for kids anymore! Hula hooping and all the tricks that can be done in hoop dance make it such a fun, motivating, and fitness exercise that I just had to learn more.  I want to share the joy of hooping with everyone!
